Health services must consider how positive research infrastructure and culture at the organizational level are being integrated and used by AHPs, including teams and individuals. This may mean ensuring greater visibility of organizational initiatives and using organizational resources to promote opportunities and experience for clinicians to increase their research skills through doing. The RCC tool provides use- full information about existing research capacity and culture as part of a needs assessment to inform tailored research capacity building interventions and establish a baseline for evaluating the effectiveness of such interventions. This study provides evidence that there is some consistency in components of research capacity and culture between two health services. Future research is indicated to investigate whether it is feasible to shorten the RCC tool by removing redundant questions, which could improve its usability.
